Marketing and Communications Intern
The marketing and communications intern will report to the director of communications and brand management for University Business Partnerships & Services (UBPS). This position will assist in the planning, development and management of UBPS marketing and communications content.
Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (primarily Photoshop, InDesign and Premiere Pro).

Superior writing and editing skills along with exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills.

Ability to lead and collaborate with others.

Ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, customer service, team building, decision-making skills, and strong attention to detail.

Previous marketing or communications experience is preferred, but not required. Candidates that possess an interest in marketing, communications, advertising, public relations, journalism, social media, or business are encouraged to apply.
Time Commitment:
- This is a part-time student worker position lasting 6+ months, 10 hours a week.
- Work-study applicants are encouraged to apply.
- Employment start date is flexible; however, a start date of May/June 2021 is preferred.
Duties:

Assist with brand building and the creation of an integrated communications plan for University Business Partnerships & Services (UBPS).

Develop, execute, and assess strategic plans while assisting with the creative direction of UBPS print, photography, web, email, social media, videography, graphic design, copy editing and content writing.

Design clear and engaging content and graphics for print, web and social that will be utilized in presentations, flyers, digital, and print materials.

Compose and edit content for the website, newsletter, and social media; interview and write articles for UBPS Impact Stories.

Shoot and edit photos and videos for UBPS partner events and campus spotlights.

Assist in the planning, facilitation, and assessment of departmental and partner-related special events, where applicable.

Serve as department marketing liaison with student organizations and student leaders.

Perform administrative duties including compiling and analyzing department activations; purchasing and reimbursement processing; media logging; maintaining inventory of marketing supplies and equipment; data entry and management and other duties as assigned.
Activation Intern
The activation assistant will report to and assist the Activation Manager for University Business Partnerships and Services (UBPS). The position will aid in partner and stakeholder communication as well as development of special projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Excel, Google Sheets, and Powerpoint.
- Strong communication and people skills.
- Ability to take direction but also work independently.
Time Commitment:
- Part-time student worker position lasting six months or longer, 10 hours per week.

- Employment date is flexible, however, a start date of June 2021 is preferred.
Duties:
- Monitor and track UPP partner and stakeholder marketing activations (web, social, print, events).
- Manage and coordinate partner communication needs.
- Assist with special projects, events, photography, and additional duties as needed.
