The University of California Partnership Programs (UC Partnership Programs) has chosen Farmers GroupSelectSM, a leading U.S. provider of automobile, home and other personal lines insurance, to offer a multi-campus program through which UC Berkeley students, faculty, staff and alumni can access discounted auto, homeowners and renter's insurance.
Through this initiative, Farmers GroupSelect provides an easy way to compare and shop for auto and home insurance using the Farmers Insurance ChoiceSM platform. Additional benefits include automatic payment options, including payroll education for Farmers GroupSelect insurance for employees through the UCPath system, and access to educational content and one-on-one consulting. As part of the University's agreement with Farmers GroupSelect, and in exchange for various marketing opportunities, the program will support other areas of campus life, including staff and student development, multi-campus initiatives and research. The five year, nearly $3 million agreement also includes an opportunity to expand the program to include other interested UC campuses.
