Bank of the West has opened its doors to more international students this semester as its partnership with UC Berkeley continues to offer financial literacy training and accessibility to students. In addition, the bank has funded many programs, including 24 student scholarships, the financial literacy program and the UC Berkeley Food Pantry.

Last Thursday, June 1, marked the official launch of the campuswide Under Armour apparel partnership. The day started with the inaugural Wellness Celebration hosted by Recreational Sports, where over 300 plus students, faculty, staff and community members celebrated by sweating it out to Zumba, tai chi and yoga.

With state support down and campus enrollment numbers increasing across college campus’s, universities are now pursuing creative partnerships with companies to help offset costs. Among a handful of universities pioneering these broad relationships is UC Berkeley’s University Partnership Program (UPP).

University Health Services' (UHS) PartySafe@Cal, a student organization focused on improving party culture by reducing problems related to alcohol, is trying to change that perception with the help of Berkeley’s recent UPP partner, Brita.

The University of California, Berkeley and Under Armour® (NYSE:UA) today announced a new, 10-year agreement that will benefit both the athletic department and the greater campus community. Under Armour Founder and CEO Kevin Plank joined Director of Athletics H. Michael Williams to introduce the partnership between of one of the country’s most prestigious collegiate athletic programs and the global leader in performance footwear and apparel. Beginning in July 2017, Under Armour will exclusively design and supply footwear, apparel and equipment for Cal Athletics as well as clothing for club sports, employ Berkeley student interns and graduates and give exclusive product discounts to campus departments. Under Armour and Berkeley also will collaborate on philanthropic and social responsibility programs.
